Excellent material. Thanks for sharing.
Just thought I would add:
1. A quick way to reduce stress is to stay still and rotate your consciousness to all the body parts.
2. When doing your breathing, visualize the incoming breath as a soothing force (from God or whomever you love), and when breathing out, visualize the stress leaving your system. You can imagine it exiting through your fingertips and the tips of your toes.

Understanding Stress in Modern Life
I think stress is a result of the way we are leading our lives—like a fast and furious treadmill. We are running at greater speeds just to stay where we are. Materialistic demands are taking a toll on us. We feel the need for more money to live comfortably. Comparison is the cause of dissatisfaction and is the root cause of stress. At the same time, if human beings were satisfied with what they have, they would still be living in caves. Hence, while one should be satisfied with what one has, they should strive for progress, which does not necessarily mean earning more money. We spend our health during our prime years to gain wealth and do the reverse in our sunset years. Keeping one's mind free of comparisons may reduce stress.
A very organized and educative presentation. Good work by the contributor. Thanks.
