If an EPF & EPS member dies, his widow will receive EPF and pension as per PF rules. The claimant must fill out Form 20 and 10D and submit the necessary documents to the PF office. The nominee form, family members form, or declaration form must be completed. An original death certificate or a Xerox copy attested by the employer is required. A bank account in a nationalized bank is necessary.
Regarding EDLI, I do not have much information. The maximum limit is Rs. 40,000, and one must contribute a minimum of 5 years to the scheme.

Dear widow,
You will be eligible for a pension as well as EDLI provided you have completed the necessary formalities. You might have to fill out Form 2, and while preparing the salary for the month of May, deduct his PF and deposit it with the authorities. Additionally, enroll him as a member.
Thank you.

Dear VJ Sharma,
His widow will receive a monthly pension of Rs. 2051, and two children (at a time) will each receive Rs. 513 until they reach the age of 25. After the elder child crosses 25 years, the third one becomes eligible. Similarly, all the children will receive a pension.
Regarding EDLI, his family will receive an amount equivalent to the PF amount. If he is exempted from EDLI, an amount of Rs. 62,000 will be received from the Insurance Authority in lieu of EDLI.
Note: Previously, the ceiling amount of EDLI was Rs. 60,000. It has now been increased to Rs. 100,000.

Your query is incomplete. Please clarify the date of death of the concerned employee and also whether any deduction of PF was made from his salary towards PF. Have you deposited his PF and pension contributions with the EPFO? Additionally, was he allotted any PF membership number or not?
