I have more than 20 workers in my company. I want to know, on salary breakdowns, which areas are exempted from ESI and PF. I know that PF is applicable on Basic, but how can I reduce it? What are the other points where PF and ESI are exempted?

If any staff works for six months, are they entitled to gratuity? Is this correct?
If a person works for more than 5 years, and is absent for six months but works continuously for another six months, are they entitled to receive gratuity? How can one be exempted from gratuity?
