Dear sir plz let me know that if i hv deducted pf of 1 employee whose salary is above rs.6500 can it be compulsory for me to deduct pf of all my employees drawing salary more than Rs.6500?

It's not necessary if the basic pay of an employee is greater than 6500/- and he does not want to be covered under PF. If your organization covers all employees under PF irrespective of their basic salary, you should cover the employee if he does not have any objection.

I have been offered a job in a company where they pay only consolidated salary. It will be around Rs. 30,000.00. They say it is not compulsory for them to deduct PF, and they will not deduct any PF from the salary or contribute from the company. I thought it is compulsory since it is a welfare scheme made by the government for employees. Please advise whether their stand is right.
