Thanks for showing your concern and replying to my query.

Further, on-campus recruitment can be done only for the current batch and for pre-final year students at the max. But what if the requirements are urgent, and the joinings of the candidates have to be within a month or so? Moreover, candidates selected through on-campus drives can join only after the completion of their course, and the company can't wait for that long because this mass hiring requirement continues round the year.

The hiring has to be done for the BPO/KPO industry in which we prefer simple graduates (with other BPO/KPO requirements, e.g., good communication skills, proficiency with basic computer packages, etc.) rather than those with some professional training.

And, in the case of a newspaper ad, there is no commitment to the number we can hire.

Please suggest some more ways for this type of requirement.

Also, please share the business model in case we plan to go for campus drives with your consultancy for diploma/graduate engineers and management graduates as well for some different requirements. I would be interested in knowing the kind of college network (geography & college ranking) you have with you.

If you have access to job portals, you can try mass-mailing on a weekly basis. This would attract the attention of both fresher and experienced candidates. Tie-up with manpower consultants who can dedicatedly provide you with candidate line-ups. Focus on internal references (with some rewards) which are one of the best and cost-effective sources for bulk/mass hiring.

One could also try 'walk-in interviews' (for a day or two) for mass hiring/bulk recruitments. In such interview sessions, one should strictly adhere to the requirements of the post (for which you need to recruit) and devise a quick method of screening unsuitable candidates as soon as they walk in to save on time and money.

What if the requirement is urgent and only matric pass candidates are required? They are very hard to find and tough to convince to work. I need 100 candidates for my KFC new store in Punjab and Chandigarh locations. The salary would be decent, and candidates should be able to read and understand English. Please tell me any way to close these vacancies as soon as possible.

Hi Pulkit,

Please try to find people who are interested in part-time work. Offer them reasonable pay and then have them come to the employment office to collect some data based on free registries. Call them and offer part-time jobs; they are likely to show interest.

Put up posters and distribute pamphlets stating, "Excellent opportunity to earn while studying." Be welcoming to new recruits and encourage them to refer their friends going forward.

Hi Kashif, I would like to suggest a few methods. If you access hiring portals like Naukri and Monster, you can do mass mailing and job postings.
- Do job postings on LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Try to utilize external methods such as getting references from old employees, visiting colleges and universities once a month or every six months.
- Post job openings in newspapers.
- Try to contact as many potential candidates as possible.
