Dear Seniors,

Kindly enlighten me on this issue. I am resigning from my job after serving for 18 months. LTA, which is a component in my CTC, has not been claimed by me in these last 18 months. Would this be paid to me by my company in my F&F settlement after the deduction of applicable taxes? What do the rules state? If anybody knows about the rules regarding this or if anyone has come across such a situation, kindly update me regarding this. Thank you.

Hi Rameshak,

You can claim LTA through your F&F as it is part of your CTC. You need to check with your Salary dept. regarding the claim whether it comes under the Tax block or not. If it comes in the block, then it can be non-taxable.
