Hi, Greetings! If anyone can help me with the details on what are the normal charges that are paid to the consultants if one is placing the candidate. Are there any additional charges that should be applied? What is the replacement guarantee given in international placements? Is it true that companies do not pay consultants and only the charges are to be taken directly from the candidate? Are there any additional terms when we do international placements compared to domestic placements? If someone could guide me on this, moreover, I was also looking for some sample international agreements.

When companies recruit candidates from recruitment consultants within the UAE:
1. They charge one month's salary of the candidate. Sometimes it may vary between 10-12% of the annual gross salary, depending on the consultant.
2. They provide a guarantee of 3 months. Within this period, they will replace the candidate free of charge.
3. All expenses, such as visa, are to be borne by the company. Recruitment consultants generally never charge the candidate any fees and should not.

When recruiting internationally, the procedure is as follows:
1. One month's base salary is generally charged.
2. Employment visa, ticket attestation of documents from the Indian Consulate is done by the company.
3. You, as a consultant, have to ensure that the candidate completes all the prerequisites for coming here.
4. If the candidate resigns, then either a replacement is to be provided.

Hi AB,

As far as my knowledge goes, they should not charge a standard fee for all international placements. It varies with the position, i.e., Blue collar or White Collar. The fee should be different for the positions. For example, you can charge a standard fee for all Blue collar jobs such as welders, plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc. For the white collar, it should be a standard amount, e.g., one month's basic for any white collar position.

Secondly, about the licensing, I'm not sure whether I can give you any idea as I've been out of India for the last decade.
