Struggling to Connect with HR for IT Jobs in Chennai – Should I Use a Recruiting Agency?

Hi All HR Recruiting guru's,
I work in the IT field and I have been working in USA for the past 10+ years and I am planning to move back to Chennai, India. I am finding it difficult to contact the company HR directly and arranging an interview, should I go through a recruiting agency or should I keep contacting the HR department of the company, please advice me on how I should proceed on my job search. If anyone has any contacts in IT HR please let me know.

I hope you belong to Chennai so you want to return to Chennai, else it is Sri Lanka not Chennai. I have been to Mumbai, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Delhi, and Bangalore, but Chennai, though a metro, is very bad. Beware.
