Confused Between MBA (Industry Integrated) and PGDM? Seeking Advice on Best Value for Money

vipinsinghal
Hi, I'm Abhay.

I want to know about the MBA (Industry Integrated) program from Madurai Kamaraj University.

How is it?

I have two options: the first is the above program, and the other program is PGDM, which is approved by AICTE.

The MBA (Industry Integrated) program from Madurai Kamaraj University has four semesters. In the 1st semester, the program is completely based on theory. From the 2nd semester to the 4th semester, the student has to undergo on-the-job training. The academic component will be provided through classroom learning at the University Learning Centers located in different parts of the country. By the time the student completes the degree, they will have 1 1/2 years of working experience. Another major factor is the fee for this program is only Rs. 3 lakh.

The PGDM approved by AICTE is a well-known program but it is very expensive compared to the MBA program. The fee for this program is approximately Rs. 6 lakh.

That's why I'm confused about which program to choose.

Which one is better, MBA (Industry Integrated) or PGDM?

Which program provides the best value for money?

Please help me, it's urgent.

Thanks.

Hi Vipin,

I can understand your dilemma, but be informed that probably the answer I have for you won't be something you would like. It's preferable to go for the PGDBM approved by the AICTE, though the course is more expensive than the industry-integrated one, the value of the course is much higher than the industry-integrated MBA if you are considering the course from a certification perspective. Additionally, since AICTE is approved by most nations worldwide, it won't be a hindrance if you are planning to explore opportunities abroad.

Please note that the course fee of 6 lakhs is still competitive compared to other universities or private colleges. You can also opt for a student loan to cover the course fees.

Keep me informed about your final choice.

Thanks & Regards,
AJ

I have completed an MBA industry-integrated course. It is not worth it. It's useless, with no placement opportunities. It's an utter waste of time. I would recommend pursuing a different course instead.

Please don't do any course from Madurai Kamaraj University. I was pursuing [MBA (Industry Integrated) from Madurai Kamaraj University](https://www.citehr.com/99106-please-help-about-mba-industry-integrated-madurai-kamaraj-university.html) and every time I took my exams, it showed as absent on my mark sheet. When I tried to follow up with them, they didn't respond properly. This university and program are the worst.

Now, I have completed my MBA from another university, and I am happy with that. Brother, it is my request that you choose any other university but not this one. Even if they offer you the degree for free, please avoid this university because you will end up wasting your time. I believe that in academics, time is more important than money. I have wasted both my time and money.

Hi Abhay,

If you're looking for a full-time course, then go for an MBA, preferably from a recognized university like Symbiosis, MIT, etc. A PGDM is also good, but in comparison, an MBA covers all aspects.

The rest is your decision.

All the best. 😛😛😛😛

Dear,

I am one of those who have completed the MBA Industry Integrated program from MKU. I strongly advise against choosing this program as it is not recognized. The course fee I paid was 4 lakhs. Many of the learning centers offering this program across the country are fraudulent. I recommend considering the second option of PGDBM.
