I would like to establish a policy for the Employee Reference Scheme at my organization. Kindly share your valuable thoughts so that I can improve it. With all your input, I aim to create a policy that will not only motivate employees but also enhance their work. I believe the reference scheme should not solely focus on earning incentives. Your suggestions are welcome.

Employee references are one of the good sources of recruitment, but this source may also create problems because it can create a different lobby within a company and try to exert control over the rest of the employees. Therefore, care must be taken when considering references.

I was actually planning an incentive scheme and also wanted to consider this reference from an appraisal point of view. I did not want this referral program to be money-based.

Do we consider this issue only by giving away incentives? My whole idea was to include this in the appraisal process as well. I feel appraisal should be based on overall performance, right? Would this help? If so, how do I take it further?
