HR Team Conflicts: How Do You Handle Ego Clashes and Personal Disputes?

We have a total of 5 employees working in the HR department, facing numerous internal issues such as ego problems and personal conflicts.

Kindly advise on how to deal with such issues.

You can solve the internal issue by dividing each of them into different sectors, and you can apply the theory of divide and rule. Don't forget to reply back to me.

As we are in the HR department, we should not have ego or internal politics within our department. Then how can we solve issues in other departments? Even nowadays, in some organizations, the same thing is happening.

In my opinion, why don't you segregate your job responsibilities? For example, one person can take care of recruitment, another of Training & Development, and a third of Statutory compliance. This way, everyone can concentrate on their specific job responsibilities.

Though the advice was good, that's not the right thing to do. In the short term, the problem may be solved, but in the long term, the same will create a problem. Firstly, try to find out the reasons behind these issues and tackle them one by one. Rather than dividing them, find some common factor between them and encourage them to work together.

Dividing the work is always useful, but make sure that everyone is rotated so that everyone learns everything. Try to take them out for lunch with their girlfriends or wives so that they can gel together and give them a target where they can all focus together as a team to achieve the same.

Divide and Rule has its consequences in the long run. India is still suffering as a result of the same policy.

I am actually the Regional Admin Head, not from HR.

Let me explain my HR issue as I think I need to explain the situation to solve my HR issue.

We have a total of 3 HR executives working on co-payroll (all 3 girls are quite young and not from an HR background). They were in the system before I joined the company. We have 2 more young, fresh graduate girls working as HR support executives (on contract). Now there is an internal issue between all 5 of them like politics, ego, and reporting issues. Today I heard of one executive's problem, and I am really confused about how these five girls can come together and work together.

All are ready with their problems and examples against each other. I don't understand who is right and who is wrong.

Today I have come to know that 1 HR support executive (contract employee) resigned and one HR executive (company payroll exec.) is on a notice period. Another news I got today is that one more girl HR support, who is left, is also looking for a change.

I think as HR executives are too fresh and not suitable for the post. I can't comment to my seniors as I am just 3 months old in the system, still understanding the company policy and building relationships with the senior and junior staff as the company is big.

I don't find them mature enough to understand that they are HR and the importance and responsibilities of HR in the organization. Being an outsider (not from HR), I was trying to solve their problems, but now only 2 are left, and they have good coordination between the two of them, so I am not pursuing this matter further.
