Hi :-P The TDS rates for the year 2008-09 are as follows:
General Women
>= 150000 Nil >= 180000 Nil
150001 – 300000 10% 180001 – 300000 10%
(Taxable income – 150000/180000)*10%
300001 – 500000 20% 300001 – 500000 20%
(Taxable income – 300000)*20% +15000/12000
500001 – above 30% 500001 – Above 30%
(Taxable Income - 250000)*30% +55000/52000

Surcharge 10% if the taxable income is above 1000000
(Taxable Income – 1000000)+205000/202500
Educational cess 2%
Higher Educational cess 1%
