I work in a software company. As per our company Head (since we don't have any HR), we need to:
1. work 50 hours minimum in a week.
2. Each day of 6 days (Saturday half-day) we office hours 10 hours or more since 30 minutes of recess is deducted from the work hour. Does this violate any law or norm? I have heard that 48 hours a week is the limit and 9 hours a day. Is this true? So can we ask to pay overtime? I am also keen to know whether recess time is inclusive of daily work hour?
