Hi All, I would like to be part of this group. Can anyone suggest the name and contact number of a compliance vendor who can help my organization (which will be opened soon) to comply with various labor laws in Bangalore? For example, the vendor should be a professional in this field and assist us with the registration under the Shops & Commercial Establishment Act and other labor laws. Please advise.

One more positive step in the formation of this group to move HR issues in the right path. The few meets we had in earlier years were very interactive and useful. This went into limbo for a while until it was shown some light. This group can move forward only if "HR personnel who seek commitments also complement them to the group." So let the 'meets' be result-oriented ones.

I didn't know that there was a local meet happening for HR professionals. I was always wondering that there's enough information passing to and fro; however, it lacked personal interaction amongst its members.

I would like to participate in one of the HR meets. However, I have my own reservations. Foremost, because I am new to this field and, secondly and most importantly, I don't feel competent enough. However, please keep me posted at darshana.karumbaiah@gmail.com.

You are most welcome to join this HR meet. This meet is being organized with the prime objective of knowledge sharing. Experience, inexperience, being new to the field, or lacking competency are all immaterial. Even people from other domains used to attend this meet earlier.

Only interest and a willingness to learn are the main criteria to attend the meet.

The most important thing in your career growth is to never have reservations. Nobody is born a master; everybody learns, and the most important learning is the ability to fail. Actively participate and then see the difference. It doesn't matter even if you don't know the meaning of HR; you could learn by hearing their experiences.

We will be organizing offline meets where all the HR professionals will join for a meeting at a common place, share their knowledge, and get to know each other.
