Need A Questionnaire For Competency Mapping - DOC Download

Hey all,

I am currently working on a summer project on competency mapping for a manufacturing firm. So far, I have identified key roles in the firm and defined the required competencies for each role.

My next step involves selecting a sample of 8-10 people in the identified roles and conducting interviews to identify any gaps in competencies, comparing actual versus expected levels. I need to design a questionnaire for this purpose. Could anyone please provide me with some guidance by sharing a few sample questions or questionnaires?

Can you help me out in finding a questionnaire that is related to knowledge management, but it should be standardized? I am doing a project on this, and this project might be published in papers abroad, so I need to maintain a standard. It's your job to read the literature, review it, and prepare the questionnaire to suit your research. Please do not request finished projects or questionnaires on this forum without giving enough information.

Instead of asking for a completed project, please search CiteHr where some projects are attached. Then, do a literature survey and formulate your aim and objectives for the research (in consultation with the host organization). You also need a conceptual framework for that. Decide what hypotheses you want to test.

If you have not done any of the above essential preparation for conducting a project, I would advise you to please do so and then pose a precise question.

TITLE:



A Study on ‘COMPETENCY MAPPING FOR EMPLOYEES’

OBJECTIVES:

PRIMARY:

 To study the competency level of employees.

SECONDARY:

 To analyze the behavioral mindset of the employees.

 To identify areas in which staff would like to develop further.

 To identify additional areas of expertise those are contained within the organization.



RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:



Research methodology adopted by the researcher for the purpose of the study. It describes about the research design, data collection and sampling technique.







RESEARCH DESIGN:

Research design is the plan for the study.

Here the Researcher used the Research design is ‘Descriptive Research Design’.

DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH DESIGN:

Descriptive research, also known as statistical research, describes the data as well as the characteristic of the population or phenomenon being studied, In simple terms, a Descriptive research answers the questions who, what, where, when and how.

This research is the most commonly used and the basic reason for carrying out descriptive research is to identify the cause of something that is happening.

PROBABILITY SAMPLING method is any method of sampling that utilizes some form of random selection. In order to have a random selection method, you must set up some process or procedure that assures that the different units in your population have equal probabilities of being chosen.



STRATIFIED RANDOM SAMPLING is the type of sampling in which the population is first divided into a number of parts according to some characteristics, chosen to be related to the major variables being studied.

STATISTICAL TOOLS USED FOR THE STUDY:

PERCENTAGE ANALYSIS METHOD:

The objective of using the percentage analysis method is to analyze the exact percentage of respondents for each constraint so that it gives a clear picture of the overall data available.

WEIGHTED AVERAGE METHOD:



The weighted average method is a useful method that focuses on the data for analyzing the average of respondents which is based on a five-point scale.



CHI-SQUARE ANALYSIS USING SPSS:

 Chi-square analysis using SPSS is an important method in estimating and proving the hypothesis that is framed for the problem and the data that is selected.

 The main objective of this analysis is to identify the relationships of the attributes by subjecting the data with hypothetical

relations.

BI-VARIATE CORRELATION USING SPSS:

 Correlation is a measure of the relationship between two variables, or sets of variables.

 Bi-variate or simple correlation is the measure of interrelationship between one variable and another.



CROSS-CORRELATION USING SPSS:





 Cross correlation is a standard method of estimating the degree to which two series are correlated.

 Cross correlation is a very efficient tool to match images. It is quite robust to noise, and can be normalized to allow pattern matching independently of scale and offset in the images.
