April 14 Declared As A National Holiday - DOC Download

The Central Government has declared April 14th, Dr. Ambedkar's birth anniversary as a National Holiday {ref: TOI dated April 9th 08}.
As companies have already declared their Holiday Lists for 2008. Would this be effective from 2008 or 2009?
Seeking the suggestions/views of our elite members.

No need to change the Holiday list, you can keep it as a optional holiday, any person who takes leave on 14 Apr, will have to forgo on of the leaves mentioned in the holiday list.

Its depend on companies policies that whether they want to treat as Holiday or working day.
