Stuck with PF Withdrawal for Over a Year: Should I Transfer or Withdraw? What Are My Options?

saipras
I have left a company in Hyderabad and applied for withdrawal of PF amount. But after one year, I came to know that a SSN number is required to get the amount from my account. It's been over a year, but still, I have not received my PF amount. Please let me know if it is better to transfer the PF to a new PF account or withdraw the amount. How much time does it take for both processes? If the transfer is between two states, what is the situation?

Dear citehr friend,

I suggest you meet the P.A. to the Regional PF Commissioner of your location because I received a similarly good response. If you want to withdraw money immediately from your former company, you can do so. However, if you prefer to let it accumulate, then opt for transferring the funds from the old to the new company using a transfer application form provided by the PF Authorities, followed by formalities like attestation of forms, etc. Don't worry about SSN, etc. Please contact the P.A. to the Regional PF Commissioner of your location at the earliest.

Good Luck.

Agreed that PF continues and transfer for interest and continuation of PF membership. Also, know that if you want to withdraw PF amount after 2 months of quitting the job, you can get the PF withdrawal forms 19 and 10-C, signed by a Gazetted Officer whom you know and who can verify themselves at the time of signature verification by the PF office.

Dear Better,

It is advisable to withdraw your application before reapplying. The process of transferring from one state to another takes a significant amount of time and requires extensive follow-up.

Thank you,
