im undergoing my summers in one of the leading HR Consulting group in Chennai, India.
as a part of training they assigned me to design the HR Policy Manual for the organization. pls can any one of you send me the samples of the manuals, or pls help to find on the web..

The manual policy is an ardous excercise and best way to learn about the practices of the company.

However, both materials are sold by us at a very comptetitive price.

i am a hr trainee and one of my assignments is to reword and redisign hr policies so that they can be be sent to employees via intranet-as a communication measure from our department-the same policies are avalable via intranet to so i am confused-please show me a way to go about it.

I am working with HRM updating & adding policies - also new to HR (with B Psych). I found the Government web sites very helpful. They set benchmark policies that I found great to use as a guide. Good luck. Kellie :)

Dear Colleagues,
Long time most people would say.
To my mind HR Policy Manual is a very crucial tool for any HR Practitioner.
I also believe that a HR Professional should have the capacity to work in any industry as an HR.
Secondly, there are Generic Standards expected to be available documented in an average Polciy manual while the Industry Specific can be gathered from friends in that industry or through your Institute.
And as the need arises within the Company new policies can be formulated for Executive approval-eg Company Policy on HIV/Aids, on Flooding, Quality Life Balance etal
Policy Formualtion is an endless thing in HR because new issues would always arise that affects PEOPLE.

Is B Psych refers to some special category ? Or it simply targetting those area which are untouchable in generally HR procedures during emps tenure. what factors do you highlight more in your province.
