Will you please clarify one doubt... What minimum wage does one have to offer under the Contract Labour Act or the Minimum Wages Act?

Dear Sir,

For employments for which a schedule of employment is available, the minimum wages as per the Minimum Wages Act are required to be paid.

For employments for which a schedule of employment is not available, contract labor wages are required to be paid.

This is Chandrasekhar. Can you justify the minimum wages and contract labour wages? What is the difference between contract labour wages and minimum wages? Kindly let me know if contract labour wages are different from minimum wages. Are contract labourers eligible for minimum wages?

In Andhra Pradesh, contract labor wages are revised once in two years and paid to all contract laborers for which a schedule of employment is not available. Minimum wages are revised once in five years. Only DA based on the cost of living index is revised twice a year on 01 Apr and 01 Oct and paid to all the contract labor for which a schedule of employment is available.
