Guys, let me tell you, before the IT evolution in India, the Indian industry mostly consisted of the manufacturing industry. In all manufacturing industries, HR played vital roles in implementing rules and regulations, maintaining IR, and implementing labor laws, etc. In those days, trade unions were the major threat to the employers to handle. Employees used to get their demands only through agitation. So, guys were required to handle any kind of situation.
But now, employers have realized the welfare and economic importance of employees. In fact, many organizations have formed trade unions. So, handling complex situations in the industry nowadays has started declining in the private sector compared to public sectors. One of the important factors is the high literacy rate among the workforce in India, which is also a reason for the reduction in employee agitation.
Nowadays, HR departments are closely working with the strategic plan of the company. As we know, women are better decision-makers than guys, and there are no issues from them as far as the employer is concerned.
If you really look into the current scenario, women are placed in decision-making positions, while guys would be sitting next to them to handle the situations. This is because of the better decision-making capacity of women in strategic and implementation points.
I think I have given you a better perception from my end.
