Hi,

Limited or partnership... it has no bearing on your policies. Is yours a factory or an establishment? Accordingly, you need to follow:

Factory: Provides only for earned leave for every 20 days worked. No casual or sick leave is provided.

Establishments: 15 days of earned leave and 12 days of casual/sick leave are provided. There may be some modifications on this from state to state.

If you want more details, do write.

Dear Sir,

Please guide me about the leave policy for employees in a Limited Company. If an employee has his rest day on Sunday and does not work on Saturday and also fails to do so on Monday, is he entitled to the benefit of Sunday rest?

Dear Sir,

Our company is a private limited company, and we want to form a leave policy. How many leaves are compulsory? How many PL, SL, CL? Our company comes under the Factory Act in Maharashtra at Aurangabad.

Looking forward to a response from you.

Dear Mr. Siva, Thank you so much for your guidance. Sir, how do I differentiate between a factory and an establishment? Our company is registered under the Companies Act of 1956 and is a company limited by shares (as indicated in our memorandum). Does this mean our company is an establishment?

Yesterday, I read the Factories Act of 1948, which states that the entitled leaves for an employee who completes 240 days within the last year of their work period with the company are 8 PL, 8 CL, and 8 SL.

Can you please provide guidance on this?
