Navigating UAE Contracts: What Happens When You Resign After Just 4 Months?

lizancy
Dear All,

Can anyone please explain the differences in the immigration and Labour department laws when an employee resigns from a company only after completing 4 months of employment and how it is applicable in limited and unlimited contracts?

Can anyone please let me know when the first immigration laws were enacted in the UAE? I have a vague idea, but I need the exact explanation.

Thank you,
Liz.

Hi, good day to you!

A limited contract means you can quit your job at any time, while an unlimited contract typically involves projects like construction, where you should only resign after completing the project or when the contract is open for immigration visas. If you resign from your job, you will not receive any ban. However, if you have a labor visa or a contract, you may face a six-month ban.
