How Can I Learn About Different Companies' Recruitment Processes Over the Phone?

Hi everybody,

I am Varshika from Delhi, doing MBA and now have to do a summer internship in HR. I have been given the topic of the Recruitment Process of the company I am working for and to understand the recruitment processes of other companies and how to improve them. Please help me to figure out how to learn about the recruitment process of other companies. I have to gather all the information via telephone only as I can't conduct surveys in Delhi since I am new to this place. So, if anybody can provide me with information about a company that can help me with my project, I would greatly appreciate it.

What exactly do you want to know? The process typically begins with sourcing CVs, which can be done through various job sites, referrals, or consultants. Each CV is thoroughly scanned by the Recruitment Manager to determine if the candidate meets the job requirements in terms of experience, qualifications, and work experience in a similar field. If the candidate is deemed suitable, they are contacted to take a test or an online assessment, depending on their years of experience.

Subsequently, the candidate goes through rounds of interviews at different levels (usually three levels). If selected, an offer is then extended.

Therefore, please follow this process:

1) Do basic research on recruitments. This will help you understand the fundamental components of the Recruitment process. Some research on this topic can provide you with valuable information.

2) Understand the needs of the organization for which you are working on the project. This step is crucial for any project. If you do not comprehend the pain points or bottlenecks in the current process, you will not be able to provide an acceptable solution.

3) Write down the "Problem Statement." Once you have a clear understanding of the problem area, finding a solution will not be a major concern.

4) Create a questionnaire and circulate it in the forum. Based on the responses, formulate your recommendations for the company.

Hi, this is a BBM student in Bangalore and I'm doing a project on recruitment and selection in a privately held E-Business Solution Provider Company with 500 odd employees worldwide.
