Leaving Your Job in India? How to Claim Your EPF Contribution Amount

I am working in a company in India and have been contributing some amount towards EPF. Now I want to leave the job. Could any one of you kindly tell me how I should proceed to claim my EPF contribution amount?

Dear Rusky,

You can claim your EPF by simply filling up Form No. 19 & 10C, which can be obtained from the local PF office or downloaded from www.epfo.org. PF can only be claimed after 59 days from the leaving date. The form obtained must be signed/attested by the last employer before submission.

Is it compulsory for employers to submit Form 5 monthly even if no new candidate is joining? Also, how can an employee check his/her EPF online?
