I am working as an HR Executive at Mark One - Airtel. My major responsibilities include checking references and conducting performance appraisals. Could anyone please advise me on the questions I should ask and the information I should seek during reference checks? Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on conducting performance appraisals.

During your reference check:

Please go through the company's website for inquiries and call those numbers for correct information regarding the department head and the related processes. Ask the department head about the employee's salary, experience, designation, and role. Inquire about their behavior, conduct, and character.

Regarding performance appraisals, conduct evaluations of your employees either through 360-degree feedback or a flat 180-degree approach. Ensure that the appraisal process is aligned with the company's policies and industry standards.
