Navigating HR Education Choices: PGDBA, MBA, or SAP Certification for Career Growth

Hi, I have done my 1-year diploma in HR from Welingkar. I have no work experience. I have the following options:

1. Complete my PGDBA-DLP from Welingkar.
2. Part-time MBA from ICFAI.
3. SAP certification.

Please help me decide which option is the best with the best scope. If you feel there is a much better option than these, please let me know. Would PGDBA from Welingkar have more weightage than an MBA from ICFAI? Is there a SAP college where I can do my SAP certification?

I am very confused and need urgent help as due dates are coming close. Please HELP!!!!

Get a good job in Core HR. Work for at least 1 year and then do SAP HR from Siemens or any other reputable provider. Aim to transition into SAP. In other words, the best solution is to seek practical experience.

I agree that going for SAP certification right now would be useless. I am a fresher in HR as well. In fact, I spoke with people from Siemens about the scope of SAP HR, and they advised me that it is feasible only after I have a solid 2 years of hardcore HR experience, specifically in a corporate setting, not a consultancy role.

Moreover, the market is flooded with various institutes offering SAP certification, but only the SAP certification from Siemens is valid and recognized in the market. The fee is not much, just about Rs. 3 lakhs. I would suggest patiently hunting for an opening in a corporate HR generalist role, and then working your way up from there. After a couple of years, consider pursuing SAP HR.

I have almost completed a 30-day survey, and there is an 80% preference for Welingkars over ICFAI. The reason being Welingkars has a better reputation and standing than ICFAI, even though an MBA degree holds more weight over a PGDBA.

I am currently working with a multinational company and am interested in pursuing a part-time MBA in HR. However, due to rotating shifts, it appears challenging for me to attend regular lectures, which I obviously do not want to miss. I am now exploring some distance learning options. Could you please advise if this would be a good choice? Does distance learning actually compare to a part-time course, and do industries value degrees from distance learning institutes?

I have completed a 3-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering with almost 3 years of work experience in the BPO industry, including 1 1/2 years at Accenture. Welingkars is offering me a 2-year PGDBA program, considering me as an undergraduate with 3 years of work experience (similar to a graduate). Would this course hold value for me, or should I explore other options, such as dedicating the same amount of time to pursuing a bachelor's degree?
