SRK A Brilliant Actor Or A Brilliant Entrpreneur

Navin Rane
We have all seen SRK, also known as Shah Rukh Khan, evolve over the years.

Once he struggled and fought for a Filmfare award, while today the award is already his year after year.

The discussion I wish to have is whether he is a successful actor or a better entrepreneur. I am not a fan of his as an actor but I adore him as an entrepreneur.

I feel the reason why he is a top actor is not so much because he is talented, but because he has better entrepreneurial skills. He markets himself and his heroics by appearing in shows or promoting movies during cricket matches. An interesting aspect is how he has developed his emotional intelligence over the years. He speaks what people wish to hear.

Why is it that just the name SRK ensures a hit? If we compare Hrithik Roshan with Shah Rukh Khan, I would rate Hrithik better in looks and equal in acting (this is my point of view). Then why is Shah Rukh Khan the Badshah and not any other actor?

Share your thoughts, and perhaps we can learn something from him.

Cheers,

Navin

Yes, Navin,

I do agree with your statement. SRK is the king of Bollywood. From the HR point of view, being an actor, he has all the qualities of a successful entrepreneur. His marketing skills are excellent. The latest example of the success of "OSO" is a prime demonstration of his marketing skills. Even though the story and script are not exceptionally fantastic, it still worked. Whether it is the case of the IPL team, both were executed brilliantly.

He is also a good motivator. He knows how to inspire the team and does everything at the right time. He organized a party for all his support staff to celebrate the success of "OSO" and announced a bonus. This type of gesture is beneficial for workers.

From a business standpoint, he likes to take calculated risks. I also feel there is another actor we must not forget, that is Aamir Khan. He has a very creative mind, which is the fundamental root of any business. He knows well how to translate his ideas into reality. His ideas are practical and involve a high degree of risk.

Bye,

Yes, of course, Meenu. Amir Khan did come to my mind when I wrote the post. I felt that Shah Rukh Khan is more aggressive in his approach, while Amir is quite moderate. What do you say?

Hello Navin,

According to me, the reason why SRK is a good actor and the best entrepreneur is that he is time-oriented. His role matches any latest event that has already taken place or is going to take place in the near future. In short, I will say he is making the best use of the situation for success. I just want to give a small example. In a singing competition when all the singers are singing fast-moving new songs, the audience is fed up with it, and if a singer comes and immediately sings a slow-moving old song, suddenly he will get a majority vote. But normally, we don't like to hear that slow-moving old song in our day-to-day life.

This is the secret rule for SRK's success.

Usha

That is true, Usha.

But who would expect "Om Shanti Om," a remake of "Karz," to be a hit without SRK?

Another thought that came to my mind is the way he is promoting himself in IPL. Regardless of the amount he is putting in, I guess he has already made up for it. As I said before, he has this everlasting desire to grow, which suits his punch line "Thoda aur wish karo." I wish he was more socially responsible.

I think there might be a smart brain behind SRK's success.... Can anyone find who it is?
Meenu27
Why I put my emphasis on Aamir? One of the reasons behind that is he is my favorite actor, and I like his cool nature. If you are finding success in such a cool manner, why is there a need for any aggression? He believes in work that provides him with self-satisfaction. Self-satisfaction is a much higher stage than any aggression; it is called self-achievement.
Navin Rane
Ulfat, are you guessing Gauri to be the reason...

And Meenu, with all respect to your favorite actor Aamir Khan (I like him as well); it is only SRK's aggression that keeps him a step above Aamir, being called the Badshah. Though I write so much, I need to explain I prefer Aamir over SRK as an actor.

Well, I do agree with the commendable entrepreneurship that SRK has. In my viewpoint, he connects with the general public at the grassroots level and extends his influence up to the elite class, all in one cohesive approach. That's the mantra for his success.

Meenu, you are making me look like a hardcore SRK fan, which I am not. He is a good entrepreneur, but I guess he could be more down-to-earth for me to really like him.

Sugandha spoke about the target people he impresses. I guess he has been reading Dale Carnegie a lot! 😄
