Human Resource Management is a strategic approach to managing employment relations. Characteristics of HRM include line responsibility for people management; an integrating, 'business-based' approach to human resource processes; individualism rather than collectivism; and proactive people strategies aiming, for example, to develop increased employee commitment and morale.
