Navigating the Shops and Establishment Act for IT Firms in Baroda: Which Rules Apply?

I would like to know which Shops and Establishment Act is applicable for an IT firm in Baroda. Is the Bombay's Act applicable or a different one? Is professional tax a part of the Shops and Establishment Act?

I am pretty sure it's the Bombay Acts and Establishments Act that applies to all small industries in Baroda, since Baroda used to come under the state of Bombay in terms of trade (during the British times).

I am traveling to Baroda next week to clear up the issue. I will definitely advise you once I am aware of the situation. Additionally, I am there to gather details on starting up a new company in Baroda, Gujarat.

With the application, you have to attach copies of the latest Municipal Tax Bill, Building Permission letter, and Occupation Certificate of the Corporation. For restaurants, hotels, or shops selling sweet meats, a Health License should be obtained from the concerned Ward Office first.
