Designing an Aptitude Test for IT Candidates: What Skills Should We Focus On?

namrataverma84
Can anyone suggest how to create an aptitude test for candidates applying to an IT firm? How much weightage should be given to mathematics, reasoning, and English? Please suggest if any additional fields need to be included.

If possible, kindly provide a format for the aptitude test at hr_namrata@yahoo.com.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I agree with the types of tests that include:

1. Verbal Ability & Communication Skills
2. Numerical Ability
3. Logical Reasoning & Creative Problem Solving
4. Personality Traits

Apart from that, it also includes management aptitude tests...

I have been trying to find the solution to the above query. I have tried to open all the links and leads provided in the answers, but unfortunately, nothing worked. Kindly let me know how I can determine what kind of weightage should be given to various aptitudes for a job in an IT firm.

Thanks in advance.
