I would like to suggest that you keep your database in Excel and the format in Word. Through mail merge, you can generate the salary slips of 900 employees without any hassle. After completing the compilation work, you can also merge the Word file with the printer, and your slips will be generated without much trouble.
There is no particular format for the salary slip. The important thing is to first decide the nature of the organization, determine the legal deductions, any authorized deductions, and the payment you have agreed upon with your employee. Also, if possible, ensure that they pay the minimum taxes on their salary.
