For a Beginner's purpose Morgan & King is good in case if you want to clear your fundamentals and give you a glimpse about all aspects of pscyhology

Atkinson & Hilgard´s Introduction to Psychology will be good. HR Management books :
1. Lallan Prasad & A.M. Banaerjee
2. Wayne F Cascio.
I m sure these books will be very informative.

You can go for sigment fraud theory.... dynamics of psychology....I ve read it long bank .... i could't get the exact name... ill get back in a day time ... i also ve hard copy i think

May I suggest that you check on-line for books related to "work place counseling" as these would address employee issues that arise in a company (of interest from an HR perspective) and the psychological approach to it.

Other good general Psychology books are by Morgan & King; Radford.These books give an overview of Psychology. But, if you particularly want to understand employees, then books with titles of Industrial Psychology, OB would be helpful
