Can anyone let me know the leave policy generally being followed in MNCs in India? When referred to websites, leave policies are mostly given for workers in factories. How about the leave policy for white-collar jobs?

Not very good... Many companies follow different methods. The one I belong to follows only earned leave (21 days in a year); no CL, no medical leave... nothing. They say many but practice nothing on the HR front.

Leave rules will be as per the Indian Labor Law.

1. If it is an office, follow the Shops & Establishment Act of the particular state.
2. If it is a factory, it will be under the Factories Act.

Understanding Leave Policies in MNCs

As the following individuals have raised a common question regarding leave policies in MNCs, I would like to provide some information. It is important to note that such companies or organizations usually follow a proper and balanced leave policy based on their company structure and benefits. HR plays a vital role in any organization as they establish rules, regulations, and policies; thus, every policy depends on HR and the organization.

To the best of my knowledge, leave categories typically include Earned Leave (EL), Casual Leave (CL), maternity leave, and paternity leave. Normally, around 9-10 EL and approximately 12 CL days are followed.
