Innovative Womens Day Celebration Ideas & Employee Engagement Activities

Is any corporation planning to celebrate Women's Day?

Hi,

Yes, we did it last year. We asked all women employees to dress in sarees and men to dress in kurta/pyjama. In the evening, some employees performed a skit showing women's role in day-to-day life. Then we presented flowers, cards, and gifts to all women staff.

This year, we are planning to distribute cards to all staff where they will write the good qualities of one female staff member and why they like her (one card per woman). The woman receiving the most cards will receive a gift for her exceptional nature. Additionally, we will give chocolates and some gifts to all women.

Yes, we did it last year. Nothing much, just sent a mailer and bought gifts for the women staff (few that we were and spread across locations). Any ideas?

I am sure you guys rocked by doing such an event. I have some ideas:

Dress: Traditional wear. It could be a saree or anything according to their custom or place.

Activity: We had set a few competitions for female employees like flower arrangements, debates, and "ek minute."

Judges: Voting poll only by male employees.

Best Female Employee Award.

A special dinner arranged which was selected by female employees.

Trust me, it will be great fun.

yes.....my company believes that International Women’s Day Celebration is a key part of being an Equal Opportunities Employer.
We hold debates on Women's Rights, organize self defence classes, ensure women are properly counselled on handling sexual advances at the workplace, etc.
Successful women from the company participate as key note speakers and inspire other employees to tread on the same path!

We celebrated Women's Day last year, and this year, we are also planning for it. We have bought some gifts for all the women employees and will also go for lunch. Apart from this, for all the married male employees, we have bought gifts for their wives.

Yes, we also celebrated last year and have plans for this year. All women employees were in traditional dress. When they entered the office, a warm welcome was given to all women employees with a rose bouquet by another male colleague. In the evening, there was cake cutting, and we distributed gifts to women employees. A few sang songs too. It was great fun. This event was captured in our quarterly magazine too.

We did celebrate last year. We had asked all the women employees to wear sarees and had a get-together. We had decided to do some good work. Many had volunteered themselves to keep the surroundings clean, and some had come forward to work with our charitable organization, for which our organization is funding. Then we had lunch out together. It was fun too.

We celebrate Women's Day at our organization every year. We organize a get-together where all the female employees and employees' spouses are invited. It's a day-long schedule with two guest lectures and games. This year, the guest lectures are on LPG safety, YOGA techniques, and guidelines on health & nutrition. Games such as one-minute show, ball race, tug of war, and others are planned. Provision is also made for the employees' children, with a magic show organized for them. Gifts are distributed to all.

How about bringing together all the creative people in the company and showcasing their impressions about a woman - something like encouraging the artists out there to exhibit their work related to women (could be reviewed by HR people first to ensure decorum and office sensitivity).

Or have an exhibition at the office showcasing the creative side of women employees.

Last year, we distributed cards, flowers, and a beautiful gift to all the women employees. What was more interesting was that each of them was given a title, such as Miss Smart, Miss Confuse, Miss Romantic...
