Working Hours - Employee Details

Dear all
I am having a query about the working hours of employee. I have heard that within last 6 or 7 months working hours has been extended from 8 hours to 12 hours a day (including lunch).
I want to confirm whether this piece of information is correct or not.
From where I can get details about the changed labor law related to this matter.
If any one of you have information kindly share it.

There can not be any chgange on working hours upwards
It is an international standard and we are a party to this We can reduce it!!!! we can not increase it :D :D :D :D

Dear Friends,
M working for a limited company.Our working hours is 10 including lunch.
According to me it should be 9 hours ..whts ur opinion...
