Confused About PF Slips? When Should Employees Expect to Receive Them?

Hi, can anyone guide me regarding PF slip? When will an employee receive the PF slip? One of my employees is asking for the PF slip. I have recently joined, and PF is handled by the Jalgaon office. I don't want to ask them about this. Please help me.

Hi Vandana,

The contribution period of PF is from March of last year to February of the current year. In the month of March, you have to submit the Annual PF return in Form 6 and Form 3. If you have more than 100 employees, you have to provide the soft copy of the return to the PF Commissioner's Office in their prescribed format. Typically, you will receive the PF slips of all employees by June or July. The timing may also depend on your relationship with the clerks at the PF Office.

Submission of Annual Returns and PF Slip Issuance

Your head office will submit annual returns yearly in April at the regional office, where they contribute the PF amount. After submitting the annual returns, within one month, they will issue PF slips to all employees.
