Following are some of the Leave Policy Guidelines:
LEAVE POLICY
*Objective*
To give employees an opportunity, within limits, of paid leave from work to attend to personal matters or to undergo medical treatment.
To give employees an annual break to sustain enthusiasm and energy levels.
*Main Features*
There is only one type of leave, termed as Earned leave (leave with pay).
Each employee will have 12 days of leave per annum, which is calculated based on a calendar year.
Any leave availed should necessarily have prior approval of the Reporting Authority. Leave taken without prior approval will not be sanctioned.
Leave has to be planned sufficiently in advance (except during exigencies) so that it does not affect day-to-day work.
Leave accumulates every month. By the end of every month, each employee gets one day of leave credited to their leave balance. An employee can avail leave after completion of the first quarter with ______________, from the date of their joining. Each employee, after confirmation, is eligible for three days of paid leave in case of exigencies that affect their immediate family (parents, spouse, children, and siblings).
Leave shall commence from the day it is sanctioned and shall end on the preceding day to that on which the employee has to resume duty.
Leave accumulated in a year and not used is irrevocably lost and may not be compensated for in cash or carried forward to the next year.
To avail leave, an application form needs to be filled and forwarded to the Reporting authority with a cc to HR.
