Dear Seniors,

I am Vijay residing in Delhi. I am pursuing an MBA in HR. In the meantime, I want to pursue a PG Diploma/Diploma in Labour Law through Correspondence as an additional/supportive qualification. Please guide me by furnishing details about any University/Institute where I can take admission to obtain this additional qualification.

Your suggestions/replies will be appreciated.

Try Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's PG Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.

Hi Vijay,

I know of a reputed Labour Law Institute in Mumbai (Maharashtra Labour Institute) which is good for additional qualifications in HR/IR.

Hi Swati,

Could you provide more information about the course you are pursuing? I am also interested in pursuing this course. Is it a distance learning program or a regular course?

Hi Guys,

I have contacted the MKU center for a PD Diploma in labor laws, and they are asking for the original Bachelor's degree or marksheets. I am not sure how safe they are in their hands and for what purpose they require them. Swati, you are doing this course from this University... kindly shed some light on this matter.

Thanks,
Ashish Yadav

Check at Indian Law Institute, Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi. It conducts a diploma in labor law which is recognized by the Government of India. You can enroll in the evening batch.

Postgraduate diploma in Labour Studies from Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. There is an entrance exam and GDPI for admission.

Indeed, MLI is good, but there is only a Full-time course available for two years. Brochures will be distributed on May 3, 2010, between 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. Second and fourth Saturdays are OFF.

I am interested in a Part-time Diploma. If anyone can help me, please. (in Mumbai)

Hi,

I am pursuing my MBA in HR. Even for this course, I was also looking at XLRI. But I think it is not offering this particular course. Can you please tell me if it provides any course related to this field?

Thank you,
Tamanna

Hi,

It depends on the requirement. If you have an MBA and want to pursue a PG Diploma in Labor Law just to add as a credential, then you can also go for a correspondence course. But if you want to build a career in Labor laws specifically, then you should opt for a regular course.

I completed my MBA in HR from GGGSIP University as a regular course and then pursued a diploma in labor law to enhance my qualifications through distance learning from Madurai Kamaraj University.

So, first, understand in which field you want to build your career.

Hey, in my knowledge, there are two universities: Madurai Kamaraj University and Annamalai University. Both are performing well. You can opt for any one of them.
