Termination After Completion Of Probation Perioed

Sir,
I was worked with HDFC Standard Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Ajmer as Sales Development Manger and my probation period for 6 months. I was terminated on 28.09.2007 accordance to clause 1 i.e., in probation period company can terminate.
I have completed my service more than 1 year and there is no extention letter for probation perioed or confirmation letter was given to me.
You are requested to please advise me that the termination is lawfull or not.

I Think private Sector is not believable. nobody confirm it this sector before probation and after confirmmation. so pl. search the next job and join it
