Missed the PF Payment Deadline? Here's What You Can Do Next

Please let me know what is the last date for PF payment, and if due to any problem, PF is not paid within the due date, what is the alternative solution.

Hi,

While it is the 15th of the next month as per the PF Act, according to the Income Tax Act, it is allowed if the employer's contribution is paid on or before filing the return of income. However, employee contribution is allowed only if it is paid by the 15th of the next month (the month in which salaries have been paid) plus a 5-day grace period. For example, if April's salary is paid on the 7th of May, as per the PF Act, the last date for payment is the 15th of May. As per the Income Tax Act, the deadline for employee contribution is the 20th of June.
