Dear Sir, I really need your help. I approached my MD in December 2009 regarding my annual increase. He mentioned that by the end of February, he would sort out my finances. By the end of February 2010, I only received a R1,000.00 increase, of which he said he would sort out the outstanding R3,000.00 the following month. However, nothing came of that. I approached him several times, and he mentioned that he had no issue granting me the increase, but he lacked the time to sort it out, such as typing a letter to the Financial Department Director instructing approval of my increase.
He explained that as he was promoted to MD from the previous GM of our company, he was waiting for full authority and paperwork to go through, which would demonstrate his shareholder status in our company. He assured me that once this process was completed, he would definitely address my situation.
This morning, I asked him to finalize my increment, and he mentioned that he was unsure how to word the letter professionally. He requested that I draft the letter and send it to him for his signature. He indicated that I should draft the letter in a manner that would enable me to receive back pay from March 2010, with full remuneration to be paid by the end of June 2010.
Please assist me as soon as possible!
Thank you.
Regards,
SD.
