Is PF Deduction a Sign of Permanent Employment Status in a Company?

satya_0007
Dear All,

Greetings!

I have a question. Please suggest. I want to know if the deduction of the PF from the salary of an employee is an indication of the confirmed status of the employee in the company. Can we consider the employee as a permanent employee if the employer has his PF account number and submits his monthly PF contributions to his account?

Thank you for your early suggestions.

Hi Friend,

Here, I would like to correct you that PF deduction from the salary never, ever means that the individual employee is a confirmed employee of the organization. This is the social security of an individual employee. In fact, you can't correlate it with the services or employment of an individual employee.

Ok

Dear Bhagwan,

Thank you for your prompt reply and suggestion. I believe there should be a written agreement between the employer and employee to confirm the permanent status of an employee.

Hi Friend,

Confirmation of an employee does not depend on any agreement between the employer and the employee. It is a conditional function based on specific criteria. This is mentioned in an individual employee's appointment letter that after a certain probation period, he/she will be confirmed based on a review of performance during the probation period.

I hope this clarification helps.

Hi all,

Please let me know, I worked for an organization for 2 years before leaving in 2008. I have not completed my clearance process or received my bonus and salary. If I go for clearance now, is it possible to receive all my dues?
