How Can We Incorporate More GK-Based HR Questions for Better Interview Prep?

indupatel
Hi friends, I just want to raise this topic to citehr that no doubt this site is very knowledgeable for HR, but only for the academic part. There should be some GK-based HR questions which we can't explore from any other sites. So, we need useful information that provides some GK-based HRM. I have attended some interviews and HR exams in which GK-HR was asked, like which Indian state has a highly labor population; the answer is West Bengal, etc. Those who have attended the SAIL exam can attest that except for a few, all questions were GK-HR based. My request is only that some sort of GK-based HR quiz could be organized so that we people can be very much aware of these.

Thanks :)

I completely agree with you, Indu. If we have to appear for any competitive exams on the basis of HR or PGDBM, we have to have the objective knowledge to a thorough one; otherwise, we will flunk in the written exam. I am really trying to find out some books wherein I can study some general HR. As soon as I find some, I will surely let you all know.

Thank you, Pinki! 😂 I am happy to hear this, but I have searched through many sites and books, and I haven't found a refined solution yet. So, I am requesting this site to provide some information on this matter.

I will agree with you that we must have the objective knowledge to a thorough extent; otherwise, we will flunk in the written exam. I am really trying to find some books where I can study some general HR. As soon as I find them, I will surely let you all know.

Hi Indu,

Which state government has a program for its NRI population called "Roots Norka"? Can anyone answer this?

Hi Indu,

To start with, which state government has a program for its NRI population called "Roots Norka"? Any guesses?

This is Saravanan. I too agree with all of you. Recently, I attended a management trainee exam in HOCL for PM. I felt they were asking objective questions in-depth. For example, in the Factories Act, which section is allocated for Welfare Officers? I hope all of you know. It is under Section 49 of the provisions concerning the welfare of employees. We can answer easily if we are familiar with all legal issues and have read "Mercantile Law" by N.D. Kapoor, which will help you a lot. Please answer this: What is the maximum amount given for funeral expenses under the ESI Act? Please reply if anyone knows.

Oh, thank you, Ms. Sangeetha. Do you know how an employee can claim his/her salary from an employer after receiving the relieving letter? My friend was relieved from her company, but the employer didn't pay her last month's salary. Instead, she received all the other formalities from her employer, like the relieving letter. My friend has already found another job and is not worried about that salary, but how can we claim it from the employer? Please suggest.
