How Do Cross-Cultural Challenges Impact Leadership in Organizations?

Hi Friends,

Can you share some information on problems that organizations face in terms of leadership due to cross-cultural issues?

Hi!

I would like to share my experience. I was working with a five-star hotel in Sydney, and I found the work culture to be totally different. In India, especially in the hotel industry, the manager is very bossy and strict; it's more like working with the school principal. In contrast, Aussie managers are cool, unlike our managers. We had a new manager from Germany who was bossy and strict. All my Aussie colleagues started hating her, and nobody wanted to work with her. We Indians were comfortable because we were used to this kind of leadership. In short, a cool Aussie manager is effective in Australia but not in India and Germany (where the work culture is similar to India's), and vice versa. The German manager was aware of her situation, and she gradually adapted to the Aussie work culture.
