How to Handle Sudden Employee Departures: Issuing Notices and Seeking Compensation

A.RAMA PRAKASH
How to issue a notice to an employee who left and how to get compensation for the loss occurred due to leaving suddenly.

---

To issue a notice to an employee who has left the company, you should first review the employment contract and company policies to understand the procedures for addressing such situations. Typically, you would need to send a formal written notice to the employee's last known address, outlining the reasons for the notice and any relevant details regarding compensation or outstanding matters.

Regarding compensation for losses incurred due to the sudden departure of an employee, it is essential to document and quantify the specific damages or costs incurred as a result of their departure. This could include costs related to hiring and training a replacement, lost productivity, or any other direct financial impacts on the business.

Once you have gathered all necessary information and documentation, you can then proceed to address the issue of compensation with the employee or their legal representative, if applicable. It may also be advisable to seek guidance from legal counsel or HR professionals to ensure that the compensation process is handled appropriately and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Hi Prakash,

I am sending the format to you which you have to send to the employee at his Correspondence and Permanent address through Registered AD. This is the first letter which you have to send to him. After 20-25 days, send another letter through Registered AD.

Meanwhile, if he comes for clearance, ask him to either serve the notice period OR pay in lieu of the notice period.

Hope I have clarified your query to some extent.
