Waiting for My Provident Fund: How Long Did It Take for You to Get Yours?

I submitted my PF claim form a year ago. My previous company sent the form to the PF office in Bombay at least 7 to 8 months ago, and the PF office accepted it. However, I have not yet received my PF amount, and it has been almost 8 months now. When I contacted my previous company, they mentioned that they submitted the form and have not received it back from the PF office, indicating that the PF office accepted the form.

My name is Sameer Shaikh, and my PF number is MH/43967/9757, with the employee code ADF 9775. I hope to receive an update on my PF status soon.

Hi Sir,

I have submitted my PF form in the month of Oct '08 in my last organization, and they have sent this form to the PF office on 18-Oct '08. However, as of now, I haven't received the amount. My PF account number is MH/43967/5392, and my organization's name is Atlas Documentary Facilitators Pvt Ltd. My employee ID is 5376.

I hope I will get to know the status soon.

It means both of you have submitted the PF claim form to your respective organization. In your case, what I will suggest to you is to timely contact your previous employer. You can also check your claim status on the EPFO website.

There is the option of KNOW YOUR CLAIM STATUS. Click on that, and then the page will open with the following fields that need to be filled. You can then get the status or the number of the Maharashtra PF Office.

In your case, the employer has the primary responsibility to ensure that you receive your claim. Ideally, it will take a maximum of 45 days, but there could be various cases such as:
- Loss of form
- Non-submission to date

Please confirm with the employer if they have actually submitted the form. Ask them for acknowledgment or a receipt.
