Why do people pursue an MBA? If you have an MBA, what motivated you to pursue it? This is in continuation of another thread discussing the minimum qualifications required to work in HR. You can find more information at https://www.citehr.com/1-vt80757.html?start=0.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Among so many MBA's on this forum, is there no one who can discuss as why one should do MBA or why they have done MBA???
What is the driving force behind enrolling for MBA?

To gain knowledge, business sense, and a professional qualification which is a bare minimum requirement for any good prospects... I'm just not talking about an MBA in HR, but the same applies also for other functions.

Ok. Thanks for your inputs. Here we are not just talking about MBA in HR but all MBAs.

If I understood correctly, you said that people do MBA to gain knowledge and to obtain some professional qualifications.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Doing an MBA to acquire knowledge, skills, and a professional attitude is commendable. However, I pursued my MBA because it is in high demand in the industry. To succeed in the competitive race and emerge as a winner, one must begin by attaining professional qualifications. An MBA provides the eligibility and establishes a theoretical foundation for achieving practical success.

Dear Sanjana,

My personal opinion is that an MBA degree will provide more exposure, knowledge, and help us think about HR in a well-defined manner.
