Should I Join a New Company Without an HR Department? Seeking Your Advice!

PRITESH_DARJI
Dear ALLS,

I have a total of 6 years of experience in HR, Personnel, IR, and Admin departments. Presently, I am working with a private limited company that manufactures CNC Machinery tools. However, I have received a job offer from a Plastic Industries company. The issue is that this non-polluted plastic industry is a new and growing company that does not have an HR department. The HR department will start with me when I join this company. I am in a dilemma about joining this company because of future planning and whether this company is growing well or not. I would appreciate it if you all could provide me with ideas on whether I should join this company or not.

Thank you.

Dear Pritesh,

First, I want to wish you congratulations on the new opportunity. It's a matter of deep thinking because if you are keen to explore new horizons, please go ahead. But before joining, please consider a few points:

1) Career Growth
2) What kind of responsibilities you are going to handle
3) Salary, etc.

Dear all, your comments are invited.

Thanks & regards,

Hey! Congratulations!

In my opinion, you should indeed take up this opportunity. While a pre-existing company has its own established policies, rules, and culture, working in a new setup is the best playing ground allowing you to expand your understanding of the subject and to re-establish your past learnings. Not only that, as an HR professional, you will be able to leave your mark on the culture of the company, which will be remembered for the years to come (that is, I hope you are planning to leave a good mark).

Even in your later assignments, your ability to establish the HR team and your being part of the core setup of the group will be very beneficial, as your understanding of the systems, policies, and processes will be much higher.

Best of luck

Dear Pretish,

Congratulations on this opportunity! As per my suggestion, you should take advantage of this opportunity to implement your own strategies and HR policies. This is a chance for you to showcase your ideas and knowledge.

Dear Sir,

Firstly, congratulations. Another thing I would like to ask about my career. I hope that you will give me better suggestions.

In my point of view, for your career, you must join this company. Before that, a few things to keep in mind are salary and profile.

My question is almost related to this. For the past three months, I have been in the HR and Administration department. Before HR, I was in marketing. The problem is that there are a few tasks in my company related to HR that do not fall under my responsibilities, such as payroll and compensation management.

Currently, I am handling leave records, joining formalities, taking care of casual workers and their salaries, as well as preparing MIS reports for HR and administration.

Kindly suggest more tasks for me and specify which kind of work would be helpful for my future.

Eagerly waiting for your reply.

Thanks,
Nicks
