Understanding E.S.I. and P.F. Return Deadlines: When Should They Be Submitted?

I want to know when the P.F. and E.S.I. returns should be submitted and what the last date of submission is.

Please tell me where PF & ESI Returns are to be submitted.

After the payment of PF/ESI every month, the PF challan along with break-up details and Form 12 should be submitted to the PF department's local office monthly. Regarding ESI, returns should be filed once every 6 months along with payment challans and Form 6, which should include employee details such as ESI numbers and dispensary information.

I want to know what legal actions the ESI department may take if ESI returns have not been submitted for the last four years, although the challans have been submitted. Is there any clause mentioned in the ESI Act regarding this issue? I would appreciate it if you could provide more information on this matter.
