How Do I Transfer My PF to Hyderabad After Changing Jobs Multiple Times?

satishkumarmamidi
Dear friends,

I joined a PSU (in Andhra Pradesh) on 01.09.99 and resigned from there on 03.03.07. I joined a software company in Mumbai on 05.03.07. Subsequently, I resigned from that software company on 23.11.07 and joined another software company in Hyderabad on 03.12.07.

I haven't applied for the transfer of my PF. Now, I request you to inform me about the procedure to transfer my PF. I would like my PF to be transferred to Hyderabad.

Please advise.

Thanks

Dear Satish,

Do you mean to say that you haven't transferred the PF from PSU or from the last company you left? If you have not transferred from the last firm, there is Form No. 13 for PF transfer. You can fill out that form and send it to the PF office for processing.

In case you have not transferred your PF from the very first company and even if you have not transferred your PF from PSU to the software company, you must apply for PF withdrawal from each company. Alternatively, you can apply for PF withdrawal from PSU and for PF transfer from the last company.

Sir,

I did not transfer even from my 1st company, i.e., PSU. I am very much worried as there is a deduction for the pension scheme from my PF (earlier and now also). I think I'll be eligible once I complete 10 years of service/contribution to the PF pension scheme. If I have this consolidated amount at one place, then it will be easier for me to claim at a later stage. Please help me.

Thank you very much.

Dear Satish,

You cannot avail the pension scheme benefit as you have a break in your employment. A better option would be to withdraw the PF from PSU, and either withdraw or transfer PF from the second company.

Satish, I cannot agree with your answer. I feel that you need to complete 10 years of service to be eligible for a pension, regardless of the transfer of PF accounts.
